Two updates to my survey of the Yankees roster which I published a few days ago:

1. Andy Pettitte has now decided not to pitch for the USA in March’s World Baseball Classic

2. As the Yankees continue to search for a right-handed hitter to add to their outfield mix they have signed Juan Rivera to a minor league contract and invited him to Spring Training as a non-roster player. Rivera was previously with the Yankees from 2001-2003.
